We were nervous to come (birthday dinner), based on reviews the food can be hit or miss, but we were so glad we came. Right away the decor is beautiful and the chairs we were seated at were quite comfortable. Service was a bit slow and one of our appetizers was forgotten about until we were able to remind our server after our main courses have already arrived, but the food was still delicious. We had soda bread, ricotta fritters, shrimp scampi, spaghetti & meatballs, kids chicken & fries, and berry cake. The soda bread is very good, but very dense; you'll fill up quickly. The ricotta fritters are good if you love ricotta, it was too much for me, but my partner loved them. Basically are like a fried mozzarella stick, but with ricotta instead and covered in honey. The shrimp scampi was amazing, I loved everything about the dish and portion size was great. Spaghetti and meatballs were good, the sauce was delicious. Kids meal was very good, chicken is handbreaded and the fries cooked in tallow was so tasty. Cake was good, but were hoping for tiramisu. Was disappointed no espresso on the menu, love after dinner cappuccino, but can't have it all! We will be back, happy to have a good italian place in town!

Loved it! Ordered the Bucatini & Big Meatballs- the meatballs are excellent! Our table also ordered chicken parm- it was great, also. I ordered the mint/lime soda- it was full of fresh mint and fresh lime and no sugar. Our server was also perfect. You won't want to leave- it is so nicely decorated and feels so cozy. Prices were fair and reasonable. I also like how comfortable the chairs are! I highly recommend going. It is one of the best restaurants in the area that I have been too. Right now lots of xmas decorations with a large xmas tree in the dining area. (Forgot to take pic of spaghetti, before I cut it all up)

Omgoodness my birthday dinner was outstanding!!! The staff went above and beyond to create the perfect night for 15 of us. It was originally going to be 12 but a few extra friends and family surprised me and they were able to accommodate! We had a private room that really enhanced the night. I arrived early and was greeted by Abbi and Avery. Both of those girls were very prompt and helped me tremendously by talking with the amazing manager Mike about my mixup. So while I was waiting I sat at the bar for a whiskey sour. Chrissy was my bartender and she greeted me right away and made me the most delicious drink!! The staff went above and beyond by also bringing me a dessert and singing to me!!! Tyler was helping bring out the food and also joined for the birthday song!! I will definitely be back soon!! Love this place!! And wow! The decor was super impressive and fancy!!!! Also thanks to Ashley for keeping up with all of our requests!! She is an amazing server!

Overall a positive experience and we will be back soon for more fresh homemade noodles. My order had some mistakes but the owner came over and made it right, and ensured I got the amazing bucotini noodles I came for. Yes, this place makes home made pasta! Highly recommend the Ancient Rome carbonara. Having been to Rome multiple times and pretty recently, I can testify this is actually, the type of carbonara you’d find in Rome. Drinks were to die for! Yum!

What an incredible experience at the Italian Soda House! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a beautifully decorated, cozy space that felt both elegant and inviting. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing — the perfect backdrop for a delicious meal. The service was absolutely exceptional — prompt, considerate, and genuinely friendly. For the perfect dining experience, ask for Samantha! She was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure every detail was just right. The food was phenomenal from start to finish. We started with the Caesar salad and fried calamari, both fresh and full of flavor. The warm, soft bread served with olive oil, parmesan, and seasoning was divine — flavorful and comforting in every bite. The chicken parm cutlets were tender, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully plated. And dessert? The blueberry cheesecake was heavenly — creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor. The creative and flavorful drinks were a highlight all on their own — beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! From the decor and food to the service and atmosphere, the Italian Soda House is a five-star gem. We can’t wait to go back!

We had such a wonderful experience at Italian Soda House! The place is absolutely beautiful from the decor to the cozy atmosphere, everything felt so inviting. The food and drinks were delicious full of flavor and perfectly made. Our server, Samantha, was so sweet and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed the entire time. The manager Michael and owner were also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Our first time visiting but it turned out to be an enjoyable experience! Our waitress appeared to be stretched thin but was fantastically attentive to our every need! Our pasta selections were very generous, serving size wise, and they were delicious! The Soda House is definitely on our list of favs now, we’ll be back!

I drive out from Chicago to visit my grandson and I always have a hard time finding places to eat because I’m very picky. From the moment we walked in we were treated warmly and taken to a table near the fireplace. It was prefect. Loved the music. Positive. Upbeat. Made me feel like I was in Italy riding through the streets of Rome and not Yorkville. Our server Micheal gave us such service. Maybe the best ever. Beyond the basics he was very engaging and made sure every aspect of our meal was pleasant. I especially loved the choosing of one’s special steak knife. I asked for one to for my chicken piccata. Every person was so kind and pleasant. It’s very rare to get this kind of service these days. Everyone can be so robotic and mundane. I like to be engaged My grandson loved his steak and potatoes. A good size portion at 10 oz. The chicken piccata was very lemony and perfect with the angel hair pasta. We will be dining here again. And I’ve recommended it to several people already.
